Edited and published by Mawu of Mandala Lunar Northern Hemisphere
Lunar Mandala 2021
The first edition of Lunar Mandala Northern Hemisphere in Spanish was in 2021. This was the first edition that was able to bring the Lunar Mandala to this part of the world, and in Spanish. We delved deeper into the texts on the menstrual cycle, the archetypes of the cycle, the perception of fertility, lunar cycles, and solstices and equinoxes. As in the 2017 edition, we maintained the organization by lunations, instead of months. Throughout, we also maintained the anniversaries of the Sun, Moon, and Venus in the signs, we highlighted the days of goddesses and holidays from different traditions. In the diagram, we created a suggestion for each woman to adapt her self-studies in her own way. The 2018 Lunar Mandala featured illustrations by the artists: Chana de Moura, Isadora Brandelli, Vic Campello, Paola Alfamor, Luiza Rosa and texts by Barbara Nickel, Ieve Holthausen, Isadora Lescano, Doris Beatriz da Silveira, Mariana Bandarra, Naíla Andrade Sarkar, Rose Kareemi Ponce, Supriya Ramos and Victoria Campello.
Lunar Mandala 2022
The 2022 Lunar Mandala is fully colored and illustrated with inspiring and powerful art by artists Chana de Moura, Isadora Brandelli, Luiza Guedes and Vic Campello and with awakening and reconnection texts by Ana Accorsi, Anna Sazanoff, Barbara Nickel, Doris Beatriz da Silveira, Isadora Brandelli, Isadora Lescano, Mariana Bandarra, Morena Cardoso, Naíla Andrade Sarkar, Márcia Wayna Kambeba, Moara Steinke, Sueide Kintê and Vanessa Moutinho.
The book contains content about the Moon and its influence on us, the menstrual cycle and archetypes, plants and medicines of the earth, solstices, equinoxes, cycles of the Moon, uterus, menopause, dreams, the legend of the 13 matriarchs, among others.
The dates of solstices, equinoxes, eclipses, lunar phases, commemorative dates and national holidays, the anniversaries of the Sun, Venus and the Moon in astrological signs and days that celebrate deities in different cultures are indicated throughout the Mandala. Each lunation comes with a lunar diagram to complete your perceptions about your cycle and day.
Lunar Mandala 2023
Lunar Mandala 2023 features a lunarium of the year, a view of the months of the year, diagrams of each of the year's lunations, and 2021 diary pages with two days per page. The pages list the lunar phases, goddess days, commemorative dates and holidays, and the anniversaries of the Sun, Venus, and Moon in the signs. Lunar Mandala 2021 also features texts on the phases of the moon, the seasons, anatomy of the female body, and the menstrual cycle, as well as content on agroecology, indigenous peoples, decolonization of the gaze, among others.
This edition is created by Ieve Holthausen and Naíla Andrade, with textual collaborations by Chana de Moura, Daiara Tukano, Ellen Vieira, Fran Bitten, Francielle Alves, Joziléia Jagso Kaingang, Juliana Cézar Nunes, Luana de Britto, Mariana Bandarra and Barbara Nickel, Maria Eduarda Appel, Nanda Barreto, Rosane Borges, Trinidad Aguilar and inspiring and powerful illustrations by artists Chana de Moura, Daiara Tukano, Delfina Mun, Jess Vieira, Julia Vargas, Luiza Guedes, Isadora Brandelli, Tayhú Grehs and Vic Campello.
Lunar Mandala 2024
Lunar Mandala 2024 contains content on the phases of the moon, the seasons, as well as agroecology, indigenous peoples, the decolonization of the gaze, dreams, the anatomy of the female body, and the menstrual cycle. It also contains lunar diagrams for the daily recording of physical and emotional perceptions. The journal pages contain information on commemorative dates, lunar cycles, the entry of the Sun, Moon, and Venus into the signs, eclipses, and the days of goddesses from different traditions. In total, there are 320 pages.
In this edition, Mandala has taken a further step in diversity. We have included more black women, trans people, lesbians and indigenous people in our team and in our group of authors and illustrators. We have counted on the creative force of artists and writers such as Águia Canina, Ana Marcela Sarria, Anelise De Carli, Aza Njeri, Barbara Nickel, Bianca Santana, Bruna Morais, Carol Mandrágora, Chana de Moura, Clarissa Alminhana, Cris Takuá, Eliane Potiguara, Francielle Alves, Jess Vieira, Julia Vargas, Karla Ruas, Mayara Ferrão, Maria Caribé, Mariana Bandarra, Nanda Barreto, Natália Gregorini, Neon Cunha, Renata Stein and Shai Lamas.
Lunar Mandala 2025
For this edition they invited the wonderful artists: Ani Ganzala, Chana de Moura, Jess Vieira, Jaya Cósmica – Julia Vargas, Karla Ruas, Moara Tupinambá, Natália Gregorini and Ula Basinska.
